What kind of critic writes a review on a restaurant without even eating there? Il Mulino is one of the best Italian restaurants in the city!- Is follow up to post by philaspenoil ...
Arriving at on time at 8 pm full of eager anticipation: the maitre d' asked us to wait at the bar for 30 minutes for our table, which we accepted happily, thereafter till 9.10 we were "told just 2 minutes"then we left .We saw much food go past( looking unremarkable) and were unattracted by the piles of food ( gread rollls and strawberries) on display in the bar area brushed by rather too many backs and backsides for our taste . The kind of reputation this place has was belied by it's grubbiness ( We don't consider yellowed polystyrene ceiling tiles "chic") , poor customer care and lack of hygiene seems ill deserved. We were pleased to go though the crowds left were happy to move up in the queue. -- 3/24/2003 11:09:12 AM
